June 10, 2009 by shavenyaknzSubclipse repository fix
May 22, 2009 by shavenyaknzThe title may be a little misleading but I was having a problem with my SVN scripts using 1.4 libraries and my Subclipse version supporting Subversion 1.6. Looks like I’m not the only one with these problems, however I did find a quick and simple fix which works surprisingly well.
In your Eclipse.ini file add ‘-Dsvnkit.upgradeWC=false’ which sets a Java property to stop SVNKit upgrading your working copy. If you are using JavaHL be sure to change to SVNKit in the Select the ‘Window > Preferences > Team > SVN’ property page. Be sure to set the ‘SVN interface’to ‘SVNKit (Pure Java) SVNKit v1.2.2.5405′.
If you’ve done all that it will work perfectly as soon as you hit ok, note because this is a Java property it will work with anything that uses the SVNKit library.
Jubilee Church – Looks like a great place
July 10, 2008 by shavenyaknzSo I was wandering around a few Christian websites last week and I came across Jubilee Church. These guys have a great website and it looks like they have a very vibrant church. I was a little lost about where they actually are, I see it mentions Korea and Gangnam station which I remember going to when we were in Seoul. I now have made a clear plan in my mind to visit them next time Yeni and I are in Seoul (should be next year).
Anyway you should check out their church website, it’s really nice and has sermons on it from David Hwang who quotes Cho Yonggi (Paul Cho) quite frequently. Cho Yonggi is a great man of faith and built Korea’s largest church. He is also a spiritual healer so he interests me a lot. They also have a link to a site that has a free e-book called ‘Prayer driven life’ which I have to read. Go check out their site … like now.
O2 Zinc SDHC support
April 23, 2008 by shavenyaknzAfter searching a whole bunch of forums (mostly http://xda-developers.com/) I finally found a solution that allows me to use a 4GB SDHC card in my O2 Zinc. This was quite an achievement because it is not a very common PDA and although there was a CAB file which fixed the solution, the card disappears after the device enters sleep mode.
Unfortunately after days of trial and error it looks like nothing fully fixes the problem which is annoying. The only thing I can do it write an email to O2 and hope they fix the SDHC card support.
Easter Camp – Saturday
March 24, 2008 by shavenyaknzToday everybody slept in. Nobody at all was awake in the camp site till 8 when they told us breakfast was ready. Also nobody wanted to get up because it was raining. Everybody was really stoked we all had proper tents because of the really bad weather. Once we all got up (and had toast for breakfast) we headed off to the morning meeting. Justin was speaking again this morning but this time he told us how he came to God and that his purpose was to care for ‘the least if these’ which means the poor, the broken people and the social outcasts. It probably goes without the need for saying that doing so is a very demanding task.
After delivering his message he made a call for anybody who felt God wanted this for them to stand and be prayed for. I thought I would feel that that would be me but I could not feel it. I also was about to turn and look at Yeni when I got the impression of a question ‘What are you looking at your wife for ?’ which was bang on. Either I was being called or I wasn’t and that was not a decision that Yeni should make.
Most of the speakers refered to ‘Saturday’ in their speeches because Easter Saturday was the day when they had lost everything and they were confused and felt spiritually alone. We do know however that this was only temporary because on Sunday Jesus had risen.
For dinner this night we had hamburgers and I had three slices of cheese much to Rachel’s disgust. The guy at the cafeteria said I was the man and that cheese was good for you. Rachel pointed out it was processed cheese.
The night meeting was cool and everyone really got into it. It was cool to see all of the youth enjoying themselves and worshipping. When we went back to the tent most of us just hung out and chatted. It was really cool to see that everyone got on so well and that nobody was shy anymore. Hopefully that will last in church as well.
Easter Camp – Good Friday
March 24, 2008 by shavenyaknzEverybody had quite a good sleep today. It was pretty windy last night and the tent shook quite a bit but apart from that we were all warm and comfy. Over night the tarps fell down and the rain started up. We got up and put the tent back together which was great. After that we got up we had breakfast. Next was the morning meeting.
The meeting was a lot better today. There was a really good speaker from Wellington called Justin who had an awesome testimony. He also made a point of telling everybody that christian life is hard and that sometimes you have to deal with feeling physically separated from God. He also gave us some advice on how to deal with these times in you life.
1. A good diet – Must have a strong relationship with God and not a ‘Coke a cola Jesus’
2. Training – You must reguarly spend time in worship with God.
3. People to help you out – Have people to depend on who can help you through.
4.Loosing altitude – Everybody falls and stumbles but you just need to pick yourself up.
5.
Next we had lunch and I had a nap. After that we went out on the Hurricane ride which was awesome fun but we felt a bit sick afterwards. When we got back to camp all of the girls were there and they got on the horse. Shortly after we invented what we have now named the playground challange. The best time was by Carlo at 16:25 sec followed closely by Anna at 16:35.
At dinner time we adopted a pet duck which we named Larry. Also we made the boys do the playground challenge on the way to the big top. That night the worship was good and the Youth all seemed to enjoy it. They had a new Speaker challed Chris. I thought that she was good in reaching the Youth but I felt like she opened a whole can of worms with her questions but didn’t seem to answer them. She asked the classic question ‘How can God let bad things happen to good people ?’ but never actually attempted to answer it.
Once we got back to the tent it was pretty cool to see that most of the youth perferred to stay and just talk instead of going out and doing activities. It showed that they really opened up and felt comfortable with each other. I think if anything, that was the most beneficial for our youth right now. I do hope for more but if that is all we gain from this weekend I’ll be more than happy.
We all stayed up late and talked that night and had an awesome time.
Easter Camp – Thursday night

Well we got in to go to Easter camp about 7:00PM and had a few difficulties. We first had some problems with getting Anna in, she was not registered even though we registered her. Once that was all sorted we attempted to put the tents up in the dark. We had three up and the the fourth was too hard so we ended up with a tarpolen tent which Yeni and I slept in. It was a bit dewey but not too cold which was a bonus.
When trying to sleep there were some guys in the tents around us which were yelling their heads off and swearing. We were pretty shocked at their behaviour and Lecia was saying she had half a mind to take the youth home. Hopefully it’s better tonight but it’s not acceptable for a Christian camp.
After we woke up we tore down the tarp tent and tried to put up the fourth tent. Lecia stayed and her ex husband helped her put the tent up. We were stoked to see that. The music was great in the main tent but although one speaker was excellent, I felt that the others were a little lacking.
After that there was a leaders meeting and I bought up the issue of people swearing. They kind of brushed it off saying that ‘People here are from all walks of life’ and that ‘We should be amongst the salt of the Earth’ which I thought was a very weak stance. This is a Christian camp and I belive that all attendees should be able to abide by some simple rules. I think that the leaders should at least be told to try and keep the youth from swearing.
After that was lunch which was Pizza and hot cross buns. It was really good. I had a wander around the camp and came back with coffee for Yeni and Lecia. The cups were really flimsy so I had to go back and make a separate trip for one.
The camp is definately fun but I don’t know that the youth of our church will get much spiritually from it. That being said though I did pray a special prayer for them so that God may add a blessing to them.
As I was blogging this there was an announcement on the loud speaker to see if you are fit enough to be a ‘Police Orificer’. Odd.
We had Burgers for dinner which was great. The guy at the food tent gave me three slices of cheese. He was impressed with me whilst Rachel thought it was disgusting. We had the main meeting after that which was pretty good. I found out that two of the youth were a little confused about their faith. I was very impressed because they both stod up and admitted it. I think that takes a lot of guts. It means now that I know where they stand and what we can do to help them.
Lecia told us that she would like to taaake the youth on more trips because is very apparent that the majority of talking comes out at night and that’s what we want to encourage. The problem is that we are all so busy that we can organize that sort of thing because we all work.
Later on Carlo came back but unfortunately somebody stole the hat off his head. It was really sad that this would happen especially here. After that we had a good sleep except for the wind. it was great to be in a proper tent.
Picnic at Spencer Park
March 19, 2008 by shavenyaknz
We went out to Spencer Park for our friend Jenny’s birthday. It was a great day for it too. I saw a guy who used to work at Pockets. We would see him every Friday. It was pretty random but really cool. Also there was a lot of food so we ate heaps. We were also excited because we will be back here on Thursday for Easter camp. Rock on !
Anyway I better get back to Packing for Easter camp.

January 2, 2008 by shavenyaknzIron Man !!!
December 30, 2007 by shavenyaknzWell We’ve been back from the Honeymoon for awhile now. Life is good and I’ll have to write an entry about that soon too. Yesterday I saw that they are making an Iron Man movie.

I managed to see the trailer. I was so excited because Ironman was my favourite Superhero as a child. The movie looks like it’ll be awesome !
Here’s the trailer:
And here’s the official blog Iron man blog
I was really impresed to see that they use the song ‘Iron man’ by Black Sabbath too. One of the guys from work broke his wrist from Snowboarding and had a metal thing in his arm so we used to do that song when he entered the room.
